This past week I had my last and final interview with a military psychologist. The interview went well although looking back on it I wish that she gave more detailed answers. One interesting fact I learned was that the way a room is set affects the answers that all patients give to their therapist. It also helps with keeping a calm setting when talking about troubling expenses. After the business symposium I realized the third psychologist, Mrs.Wendy Aporta, was the person who I want to be my mentor. After talking to her I felt as if my brain had opened up to new and endless possibilities. She was so passionate in the way she explained things After talking to Mrs.Brittain about wanting to email Mrs.Aporta, she filled me in on how I’m supposed to contact her. Turns out I get to fill out my own handbook which made me seem like an adult. All I have to do is fill it out under my name, schedule another interview for 15 to 30 minutes, and hope that she decides to be my mentor. Since I’m technically going to be working patients I had to get a flu shot over the weekend which I did not like because I hate needles. I also have to get a tuberculosis test, HIPPA certified, and have a background check done just to make sure I'm not a criminal. By the way I’m not. Stay tuned for next week!
