This week I conducted my second interview with Mrs.Alyssa Floresca who gave me a wonderful interview. Unlike my first interview, one she gave me detailed answers and it definitely wasn’t cut short either. I never thought you could talk to someone you just met continuously for an hour, but clearly I was proven wrong. Although Mrs.Floresca specialized is specialized in PTSD, trauma, and depression she actually has her how practice that involves child psychology. Out of the two interviews I have done, I feel as if I learn something new and different each time. For instance, the reason why Mrs.Floresca goes to houses for her therapy session is because she wants she be able to understand how her patients acts in their normal surroundings or if the have any triggers. What I mean by triggers is something that stimulates an emotional responses within someone. For example, one person Mrs.Floresca met with would sit anywhere except carpet. The reason being that the child was assaulted on carpet and therefore it serves as a trigger. As the interview went along her really cute baby kept making noises and throwing things so both Mrs.Floresca and I took a little break to admire how adorable her baby was. Towards the end of the interview Mrs.Floresca told me that she would send me a list of contacts for therapist who actually work with military veterans. I can’t wait to call all of them and I’m going to cross my fingers and hope I am able to conduct another interview.
